Curriculum and Daily Schedule
Self-paced Curriculum
A student will be under the guidance of a certified teacher in each course to make progress each day. Each student will work at their own pace within the coursework assigned using a combination of online curriculum and in-class assignments. Standard course sequencing will be followed through high school curriculum standards beginning with 9th and ending with 12th grade coursework. Course sequencing will occur in accordance to what credits they have, and need to finish the requirments for the Foundation High School Program. Graduation requirements can be viewed through the Texas Education Agency.

A minimum of 22 credits will be earned in accordance to the Foundation High School Program. A student will end up with more than 22 credits if they have earned more elective credits from their previous school. All students are required to fulfill state testing requirements for the STAAR test (State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness). State testing requirements for graduation can be viewed through the Texas Education Agency.

Flexible Schedule
Students are required to attend a minimum of four hours each day for them to be counted present, according to alternative education rules. A student may stay beyond the four hours to make additional progress in their classes. The arrival and exit time will be based upon the following schedule, and approved for each student during the initial interview with the director:
Start & Ending times: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
11:45 AM – 3:45 PM **(Friday ONLY – 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM)**
Students will be assigned times based upon factors unique to their circumstances. (transportation, work schedule, class size preference, childcare, etc.)
School Hours:
Monday – Thursday (8:00 AM – 3:45 PM)
Friday (8:00 AM – 3:00 PM)
